Returns Policy


We take great care that each item is correctly described, authentic, not damaged or misrepresented in any way. If, for any reason you are not satisfied with your purchase, please send us an email through Support@lectory.com.au or lodge a dispute case through our website so we can serve you better.

Please read below for an overview of our Return Policy

For customers "Change Their Mind" and wish to return the item they have received:

  • Initial postage is not refundable for Change in Mind Returns & Furniture Items.
  • Notify us ASAP within 30 days of receiving the item.
  • The item must not be used or damaged, initial packages or boxes should be returned together with the item. 
  • Lectory Pty Ltd is not responsible for the "Buyer Changed Their Mind" return shipping cost, which means, the buyer needs to take care of the return action themselves
  • 5-15% of the total payment will be deducted from the returned payment for the dispatching charge.

For defective items within the warranty period, which is usually 30 days unless otherwise stated, the return will be processed under Lectory store return procedure:

  • Lodge a dispute case through our website with a description of the issue and clear pictures, (photos that are necessary to prove the faulty issue).
  • Our support team will respond within 24-48 hours, once the item is confirmed to be defective, Lectory will provide an RMA number as a reference for the return.
  • Attention: returned products without a valid RMA reference will be Refused to be accepted on delivery.
  • Once the item is confirmed to be defective, we will arrange a courier pick up and send a postage label to the customer through Email.
  • If the item is shipped through Auspost E-parcel, please find the E-parcel sticker on the original package and mark " Return to Sender + RMA Number" then drop it at the nearest post office.
  • Once we receive the returned item, we will provide a replacement or refund according to the customer's request after an inspection of the returned item.
  • For Minor Defects or Paint Damage During Transit on Furniture Items that can be solved by sending necessary replacements are not eligible for a faulty return.
  • Lectory will provide necessary replacements and retrieve the damaged items at Lectory's own cost for damaged furniture items.
  • Customers can also refuse to accept replacements and choose to return the Furniture Item as a "Change In Mind Return" or for store credit only.
  • Attention: Initial postage is not refundable for Furniture Items.

Defective Returns on non-furniture products within 30 days of receipt:

  • If the product fails to work as described within the first 30 days of receipt, please lodge a dispute case through our website.
  • We will issue return labels or partial refunds to cover the return postage for defective products only.
  • Any other products returned along with the confirmed defective products will be treated as "Change In Mind Return".
  • Once the item is received we will determine if it can be repaired or needs replacement.
  • Please note that the item must be packaged properly for shipping to avoid damage.
  • Items received in damaged condition, smashed or modified in any way will void the warranty.
  • Please check the item description for the warranty period.

Defective Returns on all products after 30 days of receipt:

  • If an item (other than a lamp/bulb) fails to work properly after the first 30 days of receipt, please call or email us.
  • The customer is responsible for the return postage fee.
  • Once the item is received we will determine if it can be repaired or needs replacement.
  • Please note that the item must be packaged properly for shipping to avoid damage.
  • Items received in damaged condition, smashed or modified in any way will void the warranty.
